Both models are available with the standard 6.0-liter V8 gasoline engine that churns out over 360 hp and 380 lb.-ft. of torque when paired with a heavy-duty 6-speed transmission. Two-wheel drive (2WD) or four-wheel drive (4WD) is available for both models. 

The available Duramax 6.6-liter turbocharged diesel V8 engine generates 445 hp and 910 lb.-ft. The diesel-equipped models are easily identified by a prominent and functional hood scoop that cools the airflow into the powerful Duramax Diesel to maximize horsepower.

Sierra 2500 HD

A Sierra All-Terrain HD premium off-road package is offered on SLT crew cab models with AWD. It features:

  • All-terrain tires, and 
  • Body-color grille with black and chrome accents
An All-Terrain X HD package is available on the SLT trim that includes:
