2022 GMC CANYON MODEL REVIEW IN BAXLEY, GA

There are many factors that come into play when deciding whether you need a mid or full-sized truck. How much you need to haul or tow as well as where and when you travel most are essential. When it comes to mid-sized trucks, the 2022 GMC Canyon is more than capable for most tough jobs or long journeys. Along with its mechanical counterpart, the Chevy Colorado, the Canyon is the most powerful in its class. If you find yourself having to fit in a lot of tight parking spaces, but you don't have heavy towing to do, you should consider choosing the 2022 GMC Canyon over the larger Sierra.

Canyon Trims, Power, and Performance in Baxley, GA

The Canyon has three primary trims. A plethora of cab, drive train, and engine options are available, though not necessarily on each trim. The trims are Elevation, AT4, and Denali. The base 2.5-liter I-4 engine routes through a six-speed automatic and gets 200 horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque, but only comes equipped with rear-wheel drive. Rear or 4-wheel drive are available with the other two engines. The 3.6-liter V6 is the most powerful in the mid-sized truck class. It gets 308 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. The 208-liter turbodiesel I-4 routes through a six-speed automatic and gets 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The base engine will tow up to 3,500 pounds with a max capacity of 7,700. The turbodiesel gets the best fuel economy at around 28-30 miles per gallon on the highway.

The crew cab comes available with a 61.7 or 74-inch bed. The extended-cab comes only with a 74-inch bed. The difference is that you get four doors with the crew, two with the extended. Though both have seating in the second row, you'll get more legroom and internal cargo space with the crew cab. The Denali trim has the nicest interior, with high-quality leather upholstery, wood trim, and chrome accents. Apple and Android compatible tech are available throughout.

2022 GMC Canyon AT4 is Off-Road Capable in Baxley, GA

The AT4 trim is GMC's off-road-specific Canyon model. Start with 31-inch Wrangler DuraTrac tires on 17-inch wheels.
