Trims are LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. All are available in rear or 4-wheel drive, except for the Z71, which is exclusively 4-wheel drive. The standard engine is a 5.3-liter V8 that pushes 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. Also available on some trims is a 6.2-liter V8 that hits 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. The 3-liter turbodiesel option gets 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.  The Z71 is the mid-range option specifically tailored to off-roading. 20-inch wheels are fitted with all-terrain tires. Also available is an electronic limited-slip differential that improves handling, something to consider if you're pushing the Tahoe close to its 8,400-pound max. With the 10-speed automatic transmission, the ride flows smoothly across all trims. However, the Premier and High Country trims have suspension upgrades for even more comfort.
