SUVs are now the way to go, and more and more people are opting for full-size SUVs like the 2019 GMC Yukon. Built on a truck chassis, the Yukon delivers a solid platform for towing heavy trailers and hauling large amounts of cargo. Also, it can endure the abuse of unpaved roads on a regular basis, far beyond the capabilities of a car-based crossover.

The new Yukon is acclaimed for its power, polished large rims, and its grand size. Available with three rows of seating, the full-size SUV can seat 7-9 people depending on the configuration. The 2019 Yukon continues to be offered in SLE, SLT, and luxury Denali grades, along with a value-priced Standard Edition.

What's New for the 2019 GMC Yukon?

The Graphite Edition offers:

  • Blacked-out exterior trim
  • Upgraded suspension to handle higher payloads
The Graphite Performance Edition offers:
  • Specialized 6.2-liter V8 L86 (EcoTec3 family) engine with a 10-speed transmission

  • Two-speed active transfer case (for 4WD models)
  • Z95 Magnetic Ride Control with adaptive suspension
GMC has added three new exterior colors-Dark Sky Metallic, Pepperdust Metallic, and the Smoky Quartz Metallic. These colors look spectacular on both new 2019 Yukon editions.

Yukon vs. Yukon XL

GMC's Yukon lineup includes the standard Yukon and lengthier Yukon XL. The two body styles have not changed significantly except for the addition of tire-fill alert to the tire-pressure monitor.
